It’s time to challenge decades-old paradigms in corporate learning. After two years of intensive work in designing and piloting a new direction for corporate learning—shaped by a new set of skills and tools (such as social media and SharePoint™) that add necessary functionality and workflow to learning opportunities, Media 1 has developed a new a vision for an integrated learning process to provide a platform for delivering carefully timed, role-appropriate learning and performance support.

We at Media 1 are creating new, integrated learning that goes beyond a traditional “course” and is free to break outside of the constraints of the corporate LMS. Our learning portals interface with social media and other corporate systems. We are taking the bold step to move away from the confines of the eLearning course and begin integrating seamless learning into the day-to-day activities of corporate learners. We are not just SharePoint or course content developers; we are at the leading edge of an integrated learning movement. We are changing the face of corporate learning one pilot portal at a time.

Media 1 offers expertise in developing innovative and collaborative online solutions.

In particular, the Media 1 team has demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Cohort Learning (Reusable Group Classrooms)—blended facilitated and self-paced online learning experiences where fellow classmates can work through a curriculum together, moving through training as a group and sharing ongoing experiences. It is a place where individual and team progress can be tracked, rewarded, shared and celebrated. These work well for:
    • Sales
    • Onboarding (company/department/role)
    • HiPo/Succession Development (leadership)

  • Curriculum Guidance—directs learners to the right LMS courses and other targeted learning experiences available through multiple sources based on a specific job role or desired learning path.
  • Communities of Practice—collaborative online environments where participants can learn, compete and excel with the goal of achieving mastery-level of skills. Participants learn on their own and from each other.
  • Media Sharing—upload and rate private videos and podcast, a great way to distribute and share frequently used media resources from presenations to speakers to tips of the day.
  • Performance/Workflow Support—provides just-in-time procedural guidance and/or direction in decision making.
